Finally a solution to safely use aftermarket tow straps on the MQB platform!
 
The danger of mounting a tow strap to something such as the crash bar is that because it sits behind the front bumper, when in the case of needing to be pulled from the gravel etc. you can quite easily rip the front bumper off the car as the tow strap is mounted behind the bumper. 
 
This kit solves that issue by having a threaded bar the same thread as OEM tow hook, that allows us the bolt the tow strap outside of the car to avoid any damage when being pulled out the gravel!
 
We have gone for Sabelt straps for their high quality and large bolt hole size allowing us to fit these straight onto our kit. 
 
Installation couldn't be more simple, screw in the threaded bar using a 22mm spanner on the locking nut then place the tow strap on and tighten with the second locking nut, done! 
 
We also provide a rounded black nut cover to finish off the look and avoid the exposed bar causing any hazards

AS WITH ANY TOW STRAP ADAPTER KIT THESE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE USED FOR TOWING VEHICLES ON THE ROAD, USE OEM TOW BAR IN THIS SITUATION. THESE KITS ARE DESIGNED TO BE USED WHEN NEEDING PULLING OUT THE GRAVEL/SAND AT THE TRACK ONLY
